Handal Indah Sdn Bhd, through its public bus brand BAS.MY Melaka, participated in the closing ceremony of the “Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat” (WRUR) programme at DUN Duyong, highlighting its free-ride Kad Konsesi initiative aimed at supporting accessible and inclusive public transport for the Melaka community.
The event, held at Dewan Serbaguna Semabok Dalam, attracted thousands of local residents. BAS.MY Melaka set up an outreach booth to share route information, educate the public on the free-ride programme, and assist eligible passengers with Kad Konsesi registration.
Free-Ride Programme for the Community
Through the Kad Konsesi BAS.MY Melaka, the following groups are entitled to unlimited free bus rides:
- Students below 17 years old
- Higher-education students with valid SISWA cards
- Senior citizens
- Persons with Disabilities (OKU)
This programme aims to reduce daily travel costs for families, improve mobility for students and elderly passengers, and make public transport a safer and more convenient option for Melaka residents.
